I just joined PPA and wanted to register for IUSA 2012. With my new registration it says I get a full convention pass for free. But my husband wanted to go as well and he is not a PPA member. To do the buddy pass, do both people need to be a PPA member to get the buddy rate?

Never mind, I called and spoke with someone, questions were answered. Thanks. :)

I have the same question as I am a fairly new PPA member and my wife works with me doing some the marketing and assistant chores.

I believe all you have to do is call PPA to put whomever's name on the Buddy Pass that you want once you have registered and paid. Passes are sent in the mail to the Primary Studio holder. At least that is what they did last year.

I was excited to see your question as I have the very same situation. Do we have to call to have the name added? Thanks, Angela

I think when you register, it asks who you are adding on the buddy pass. There is an option to put it on right away, or if you don't know yet, then you can call in later. That's what I did last year.

Here was the response I got when I emailed them:
Hello Angela,

Thank you for contacting PPA. You are eligible for a free trip to
Imaging USA, but you still do have to register. You can register on line
at PPA.com or you can call into our Customer Service Center, that number
is 1-800-786-6277. It does not include a buddy pass. It does include all
the classes that are going on at the convention. It does not include any
pre convention classes.

If you have any additional questions or concerns, please do not hesitate
to contact the Customer Service Center at 1-800-786-6277 or email
csc@ppa.com. We are here to assist you Monday - Friday from 9:00am -
6:00pm EST. We look forward to hearing from you.

Have a wonderful day

Sincerely,

David Thompson
