I need some feedback on my 20 images for the CPP. I already passed the exam, now for the hard part.

Thanks for looking.

Sorry Kat, can't view them because i am a judge. But if you submit them anonymously...

Seems to be a very disconnected body of work with some of the images appearing to be fuzzy because of poor resolution. There is a myriad of lighting techniques here with no consistency. Honestly, if I were to judge this collection, I would most likely question if all of the images were the work of the same photographer...

Well, I can attest to the fact that all images are indeed from the same photographer. Can you expand how they are disconnected to me? I was under the impression that you show what you shoot. I shoot weddings and kids. Am I missing something? And I didn't know that the ability to use multiple lighting techniques would be held against me as a photographer. Again, please explain.

I was looking for more specific critique on the images and less blanket criticism, but thanks for looking.

Yes, I agree with Cindi. The work, overall, is inconsistent in quality. There's a huge difference in the quality and control of light from one image to the next. About half are absolutely beautiful... and the other half are likely not going to pass.

The good news. You obviously know what to do with your lights... I'd assume that half of this portfolio is new work. Do more work of that caliber, and then submit your images.

Thanks for looking, Steff. Is it possible for you to steer me to the ones you think won't pass and why?

Not Steff, but the images with flat lighting probably won't pass: the bride laying down in her dress; the groom; girl by railroad tracks..
