Hi everyone. I hope you don't mind me asking these questions here. I just joined PPA last year and am wanting to enter the SEPPA print competition but wanted to make sure I can enter without being able to go to the competition. Is this possible? Since I can't be there how do I find out what the judges said?

thanks so much in advance

Yes you can enter without attending. Most districts that I know of do not offer critiques (something you can pay extra and get from International Print Competition). If you are not able to attend your best bet is to find someone you know who will be there and ask them to watch for your prints to come through. At a district comp, there are two rooms running at the same time, so there is a chance they would miss seeing your prints, even if they were there the whole time. Also, not every print gets commented on. If the judges are all pretty much in agreement on the score then there are no challenges and it just moves on to the next print. Where you would get the most feedback would be after the competition when the prints are hanging in the show, if you could ask one of the judges to talk to you about your prints. As you won't be there, another good option is to email your images to a few people who are knowlegable about print comeptition and ask for their thoughts.
