Hey Gang,

Here's some news for you guys looking for a reason to visit San Francisco.

Coming this January...

FURBALLS! The Art of Pet Photography

Our very own 2010 Diamond Photographer of the Year, Stephanie Millner, Cr.Photog., CPP MBA will share her approach to creating beautiful and timeless pet portraiture using a very simple studio set up and some easy techniques to control animal behavior. Learn appropriate lighting for fur texture, how to properly treat-bait pets, and how to create an image the pet parents will forever treasure. She will explain working with troublesome pets, behavior problems, and quick-trick training during sessions. Post-processing, product design, marketing, and sales will also be discussed.

Hope to see you guys there.

She did this program for us in Maryland and Mary Jean and I sat in on the program. If you're interested in pursuing this she will definitely get you headed in the right direction. did a nice job.

She did say I made her nervous for some reason...

I attended a training seminar Stephanie held last year when she was still living in Alexandria, VA prior to the big move across the pond. Learned lots of good stuff and well worth attending. I highly recommend.

Thank you guys. :) Hope some of you can make it again.

DC - I used to live there (well, in Monterey) so it's ok that I don't have much free time. I'll be visiting one of my old wedding couples (now good friends) from San Jose while I'm there though!

Monterey !!! So, you know all about Big Sur and Pebble Beach as well as the Laguna Seca Grand Prix races ??? And, then there is Carmel with pristine pure white sand beaches and the ultra rich everywhere you look.

Sure do. Shot many a wedding over by Pebble Beach (actually Lover's Point, P.G.) - and for my husband's birthday, he got to go drive in a Ferrari on the Laguna Seca track.

If anyone is coming up from the Carmel region, you're in the most dog-friendly area in the country! And I will be giving you MANY contacts right over on Ocean Ave... I promise, it will be worth your dog-photography time!

When she spoke in New Hampshire, she brought her beautiful dog!

Hailey says thank you for the compliment. :) Unfortunately she can't come this time. It's very scary for her to ride under the plane, so she'll be staying with her dog-sitter in Rome.
