This is my first time attending IUSA and I'm in need of some advice on what to bring with me. My main concern is with the dress code. I've seen pictures of people wearing jeans/sneakers and others wearing dress pants. I don't want to be under dressed. Also, what about the evenings? Cocktail dresses or gowns? Again, I've seen photos of both. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Comfortable during the day. They say business casual for the ceremonies but I would recommend you stay with tradition and go a bit more formal. The people receiving the degrees and awards worked very hard for them so dressing for the occasion shows respect for the achievement. Just my opinion of course but who wants to work hard for years to get an award and look to the audience and see jeans and t-shirts?

so jeans would be ok during the day?

defiantly jeans are fine. you'll see every theing from jeans, business casual to suits.
wear comfortable shoes
evening events arent much different except if your getting a degree.

Another silly question- do we actually bring our cameras? I know that there are going to be classes, but do we actually need our cameras in hands?

If you need help with your camera then bring it. If not then bring a notebook and a good pen to take notes. I'll be carrying a point-n-shoot in my pocket for snaps with new friends.

Thank you, Greg! Kayse and I are attending together. We have never been before and have no clue what to bring, wear, expect, etc. I am so excited, though!
