Got this info from our KPPA web site and figured I would pass it along to anyone interested. I could be mistaken but I think this is the first time a competition like this has been shown live via webcast. To the best of my knowledge this webcast is open to anyone wishing to view it.

Join us "LIVE" for the KPPA Fall Print Review and Competition.

Kentucky Professional Photographers have been submitting their prized images for this very exciting event. Come see how they are judged and who will walk away the big winners!

It's not the first time. California did it a year or so ago.

Don't forget to register if you plan to watch the competition!! I'll be making a 10 hour drive home immediately following a wedding in Mobile Alabama just to make it back in time to see it.

Can you tell it's my first contest or what? :D

Well I managed to come away with 4 Deserving of Merit, 5 Above Average and 1 Average. No complaints here.

I would definitely love to see more of these!

Thanks Missy.

I was very happy with the outcome and found out I can judge prints better than I can shoot them. I tried guessing what category each print would fall in before they announced it and I was right on all but 3 prints(all images, not just mine. I didn't try to guess mine.). You'd think if I could judge 'em that well I could shoot 'em that well but to me it's easier because it's like using hindsight.

The judges really loved your work, Greg--now come on and serve on the print crew so you can be in the room and cringe while they critique your work in front of you! LOL!

Thank you Amy.

I know it was just a simple Fall Comp but it was a really cool feeling when I got the e-mail with the results. I stared in disbelief for what seemed like forever. First competitions do things like that to a person.

Now if I can just figure out how to frame the e-mail :D
