Hi Keith (and Sam),
After ordering 5 prints, I am still searching for my 4th and final print. Do any of these have potential to merit? More so than the mom and baby?

Thank you (again!)
Chontelle

Being totally honest I don't remember the mom and baby accurately enough to say which is best. Here are my very quick thoughts on these images.

1st image - ok image, light is striking the back of the baby as opposed to his face making the uniform and name the primary subject IMO.

2nd image - the lighting is making dad the main subject so you would need a title that states that as well. MO is that it could have been better by rotating dad and baby toward the main light so baby had better light as well. Babies tend to automaticly become the center of interest in poses like these which makes this image feel weak IMO. There is a really bright light trap by dads shirt collar and babies hand that needs to be toned down.

3rd and 4th image - I like the color image better as I feel that it has more impact than the BW version. BW can be dramatic but in this case it would need more drama in the sky. Is there a lot more room around the image to camera right? I think in this case haveing an expanse of space and keeping the subjects a bit small in the image would add drama and increase the feeling of a slice of life story line. On images like these make sure it is sharp but avoid haveing an over sharpening line around your subjects. Ideally choose an image where the little girls arm is not blocking her profile and mom's hair is not blocking her profile.
