I am new in this. The Photographic Open category consists of Portrait, Illustrative, Wedding and Album entries. I have not clear what is the definition of portrait and illustrative in this competition. For me a Portrait is an artistic representation of a person, but a saw a flower, a spider web, dogs in the webminar about the 12 elements. And illustrative is for example the representation with image about the life of a cowboy, or a cmmunication with an image about something.

I need your help. Thanks a lot. I want to participate a show my work.

Manuel,
For the purposes of this event at this time, there is no separation between the different types of subjects you mention. All photographs are considered "Photographic Open".
Illustrative and Portrait are judged as a single category. In 2011, images will need to be labeled as either portrait/wedding or illustrative. In 2010 it is all one category.
I hope this helps explain the situation.
