I worked this up and as I'm getting ready to post it, I showed it to Zack. He asked about the detail on the flower on the right side. It is there on the original, however, I'd like to know if I'm on the right track before I reprocess the file and work on it some more.

Thanks.

From what I can tell on this low res file I would say yes you are on the right track. I would like to have you post it larger so I can see detail better. It is hard to tell light direction and sharpness on this file size.

This is the file right out of Lightroom and sharpened a little. Thanks for taking the time, I appreciate it.

I think this is ok. . . not as good as those you had sent us awhile back. It feels busy to me with several distractions that you would need to work down. JMOs

Thanks!- I wanted the ones from last year to be sharper- and I have new glass, so I'll work on that style for some more.

This is definately sharp! I like the way the roof forms a stopper as it turns upward. I wish the birds face was turned into the light (camera right) as it would have added impact to the image. I do think it is worth working up. Alot will depend on how you crop, present and title the image. Do you have more to look at? You might want to take it to your local association if they will be having a test judging.
