Oh my gosh these hallways are crowded! Why can't people get their tails moving! Seriously disorganized.

..just your average run of the Organized Kaos when 10,000 photographers cram into a limited space:p
The people that stop in the middle of a moving crowd to text their friends don't help things much either.

meh... there are worse people to have to rub elbows with. :D

The attendance numbers are fantastic, though--from what I've heard, two or three thousand more people than ever before.

Glad I'm not there! (not) Those same people stop in the middle of aisles at the grocery store, too! Grrrr

What's the count? 10,000? How is that determined? Advance & on site registrations? Number of badges mailed & given on-site? Some mailed badges are never used, including mine! Count is not accurate, if counting mine and a few others in same situation.

I counted them as they walked by.

Whoa. woulda loved to see you without shoes and socks! (counting on all digits)

At the PPA council meeting it was announced that this was the largest convention since Tampa and that drew some 8600.
The final count for Nashville I understand was close to 10,500.

the program rooms & hallways were a fire hazard. it seem very disorganized, since they knew how many were going to be their. still had a great time.

I wouldn't say disorganized. Just crowded. Needed more floor people to help with crowd control. A lot of the presentation room were standing room only. Over all a great trip.
My only complaint, a lot of rude people on the trade show floor. Pushing, not remembering they're caring a camera bag over their shoulders, not looking before stopping and turning back into you, and so on.

I had to leave the trade show the first day. It was insanely crowded and just couldn't stand it. And if one more person ran over my feet with their roller computer/camera bag not paying attention what they were doing...I would have lost it. The second and third day was better.

on sunday you always get more folks with 9-5 jobs that just drive in for the day.
all shows are like that. i don't think people were rude, it was just that you couldn't more with bumping in to one another. on a happier note: the locals in nashville are among the most hospitable folks i've ever seen.

I think if they had turned off the heat and opened up the doors (as in the old days) or just dropped the air to about 55 degrees, it would have been just fine.

I didn't experience the problem the way the rest of you did. Sure there were lots of people there, but it wasn't bumper-to-bumper. Have any of you been to WPPI? Yikes.

The only person I "bumped" into was Fuzzy... All the rest I just stopped and said hello.
It was an awesome Convention.
Fuzzy.... are you ok now?

I had a great time. It definitely was crowded, but most people were polite in my experience. The big camera bags were a bit much at times. I carried a Burrell bag full of the essentials: snacks, water and note book. So glad I did not have my camera gear!!!
