Hi All

We've just announced our first Fine Art Dog Photography workshop... here's the info: check us out at: www.unleashed2009.wordpress.com

Fine art dog photography workshop
September 18-20, 2009
Location: Chicago area

This is a cooperative effort between Teresa Berg (in Dallas), Barbara Breitsameter (in Chicago) and Bev Hollis (in Virginia/D.C.). We saw a real need for a workshop dealing with the many different aspects of fine art dog photography for photographers.

Representing three different styles from three different geographic areas, it’s exciting to work together and offer a real variety of techniques and styles for other photographers. The first workshop is scheduled for September 18-20 in Chicago -with long range plans to offer the similar workshops in D.C. and Dallas.

We feel that fine art pet photography is a niche that is about to explode.... !
Our sessions are full length sessions - not the mini sessions often done on site at the pet store or vet clinic. We treat each animal as an individual and photograph them the same way you would a person that came to you for a portrait.

We use a minimum of props, and really focus on lighting and style that compliments the subject. Hopefully, with an artistic and appealing result. Our clients seem to love having these custom portrait sessions of their beloved pets, and spend as much (or more) on prints and products than people clients! Check out our websites for samples of what we do. You can find links to our sites on the blog: www.unleashed2009.wordpress.com

It's fun to look back and see that it's been a YEAR - and we've got two successful Unleashed workshops under our belts. The third Unleashed is almost sold out - scheduled for September 19-22, 2010 in Leesburg, VA at the Landsdowne Resort.

We'll be teaching the marketing, sales and business sections at the resort and shuttling our photographers out to Bev Hollis' studio at Tranquility Farm for lots of shooting and lighting sessions with live four-legged models.

This is by far the most beautiful scenery I have ever shot dogs in-- the rolling hills of Virginia's hunt country!

We're also scheduled to teach a one day Unleashed at Imaging USA in January as one of the pre-conference classes. We'll have a very condensed Unleashed without the hands on shooting -- but lots of fun.

So if you're interested in adding fine art dog photography to your studio or you're starting from scratch -- come join us!
