This will be my first competition, so I am looking for advice on these:

Not Sure which of these would be best:

Hey, Chris, since no one else seems to be piping up, I'll give you my 2 cents.

On the first image, the fence is almost cutting the image in half. I know I like to keep close to "8x10" crops, but comp is different. This could handle going more pano. Other than that, the hot spots in the background are distracting, I don't see any light in her eyes, (eye on camera right is a black hole from here), and her hand is floppy down pretty bad.

The second image is much better (in my humble opinion.) You'll need to get rid of that huge hot spot on the right. You could try to crop it out, if not just PS it. I still don't see any real light in her eyes, which is your biggest problem. If you know how to liquify, I'd slim down her arm. I'd also tone it down, as it's brighter than her face and it sholdn't be. (The top of the fence should prolly be toned down, too.)

The next one, make sure you have detail in your shadows (specifically his tux and hair).

Love the tones in the water on the last shot. I don't know much about scenics, so I can't really help you otherwise.

Good luck!

Ashley

Oops, sorry, I skipped the bride!

I'd probably try to bring up the background a bit b/c it's quite dark from what I'm seeing. At first, all I saw was the white cloth hanging from the cross, I didn't even see the cross. The next thing my eye went to was that white spot on camera right. (top corner) Again, make sure there's detail in her hair (it looks pretty dark) and also try what you can to make it appear more separated from the background.
