This statement was made in a critique of one of the cpp image uploads...
"Rule of thumb is the top of the eyebrow to the hairline should be the same distance as the top of the image to the top of the head."

Please help me out with this...what if keeping that added space at the top of the image throws the eyes (center of interest) out of the area for the "rule of thirds" to work? Will you not be 'dinged' for that rule also?

That means your heads are too big for the format of the image. As I don't do too many "portrait" head and shoulders, here's a quick one I dug up.

Alright, got that.

So does this rule apply at the bottom of an image if the image is full length? Such as..."Rule of thumb is the top of the foot to the shin should be the same distance as the bottom of the image to the foot."
