I've been reading for a while. Can someone spell it out for me please?

I understand that you sign up and can take the test and submit images for 2 years until you pass.

But do you have to do one before the other?
Do you do the image submission online or is that just for CC?
Are there sample tests anywhere besides the little one on ourppa?
My library doesn't have the books...our local organization doesn't have them either...so does everyone just go buy them?

Thank you!

1. Fill out application
2. Submit fee
3. Study
4. Prep images
5. Take written test or image submission - whatever order you want
5b. Do whichever you didn't do in #5
6. Pass. Both.
7. Pay rest of fee
8. Get certificate, hang on wall (the certificate, that is)
9. Submit press release
10. Learn the secret handshake

If you get "Photography" by London/Upton, there are sample tests that go along with each chapter. And, yes, I would buy the book. I still use it now on occasion.

Hi Dea;

It doesn't matter which you do first. I suggest that you ask, on here, if anyone has a copy of the book they will sell now that they passed.

Almost all upload the images on-line. There is only one time a year you can submit prints but 3 times a year to upload images.

Here is a link to sample questions on the certification site. http://certifiedphotographer.com/sample-test-items.html

I just searched ebay and amazon for the book. You can get it on Amazon for under $5 shipped!

That's awesome, Chontelle! I'm so glad that's going to work out! I'm excited to meet you in person.

(p.s. you did see that it's actually on Sunday, right?)

I believe it's $100 total. They do $50 when they process your application, then the other $50 when you actually earn your CPP (and each year thereafter, I believe). For those who are not members of PPA, the total fee is $500.
