For those of you who use Photoshop, here's a simple Action that adds Guides to show the Thirds for any size image.
--Save the .zip file to your hard drive.
--Double-click the .zip file to expand to the .atn (Photoshop Actions) file.
--Open Photoshop.
--Click on the button in the upper-right corner of the Actions palette to open the palette menu.
--Select the Load Actions command from the menu.
--Navigate to and select the .atn file, then click the Load button. A new set of Actions will appear in the palette.
--Open an image.
--Click the triangle to the left of the Actions set name (if necessary) to show the Action within.
--Click on the name of the Action to select it.
--Click the Play button at the bottom of the Actions palette. Guide lines will appear in your image.
--Show and hide the Guides with the shortcut Command-; (Mac) or Control-; (PC). (Hold down the Command or Control key and press the semi-colon key.)
Best,
Pete
