I am impressed with the recertification process.

PPA sent me the letter telling me that I needed to re-certify (no surprise as it happens every 5 years). It offered a couple methods. I chose to go based on continuous education (no image review or retesting) as I had almost enough from attending New England School (NEIPP). Sent the paperwork off to PPA and in about 2 weeks they returned a shiny new certificate good for another 5 years!

Hi Deb;

Since I attend at least 10 days of speakers and seminars a year, at our state association, I have enough hours built up to re-cerrtify each time. After this morning's senior portrait session I'll try to see how many days or hours that adds up to.

To re-certify without an image review or retesting you need 25. You get 5 for each week at an Affiliate school ( I had 20 this way). I filled in the rest with a trip to the National Conference (Imaging) as well as State and Regional Conferences. One day seminars can work too.
