Is either of these worth working on?

I photographed a local farmer back during peanut season a few years ago. I traded him prints for peanuts....so I guess I really do work for peanuts.

Is either of these worth working on? I have played with them several times, always decided they were not worthy and moved on.

I thought I would get other opinions just in case..especially now that I am desperate to come up with 4 images.

Hi Chontelle.

I know absolutely nothing about competition except what I've read here on the forums, but everyone seems to agree that a great title helps a print. I'm not sure what others would say, but I think for the first one, you should definitely title it, "Working for Peanuts".

Just my$.02, for what it's worth.

Hi Chontelle;

I also would go with the 1st one. There is no center of interest so I think I'd go with a slimline and present it museum style. A possible treatment could be a texture / grunge addition playing up his grizzled hands.

The title could be something like "Peanut Butter in the Raw".

in the first image is there detail in the highlights on the peanuts and his sleeves? also the print should be much darker
