I've just read a bunch of threads about how to title. being my first time entering or going to a competition, I'm struggling. For this one, I was thinking about focusing on the messiness of his hair... Looks like he was just woken from a nap for his picture.
Is "bed head" too goofy?
Thanks!

Hi Laura;

Ok, how about "Troglodyte" or "Cave Man" ? He looks kinda' wild. http://www.superseventies.com/sl_troglodyte.html

Laura, What is important about this image is his eyes, so I wouldn't choose a title that tells the judges to look at his hair. Try to come up with what this little boy would be thinking or saying to the person he is looking at, that will lead you to the title.

Also you still need to trim about an inch ( just guessing based on looking at smaller image here) off the top. Right now his eyes are about centered from top to bottom in the actual image area. If you take a little off the top, it will get his eyes out of the center. Plus by removing a little more of his hair you give it less importance. You will still have the wild hair sticking out on the sides and the messy bangs that give this image charm, but will bring the importance back to his expression.

what is your focus? where do you want them to keep coming back to? The eyes, correct? title your image with this in mind...

example:

hungry eyes
he's got daddy's eyes

you get the drift.

sorry, keith said it first. i was typing it when he posted.

I don't know if they would read it right, but I'd like to see it titled, "Oooh, that was good."

He just looks like I do in a chocolate coma (now ya know!)

This is too long - but something like

"What do you mean we're out of cookies?"

Nylora, you'd have to be of a 'certain age' to get that and um, some judges may be PAST that age. *snick*

I resemble that.
Make it simple, if the first thing the judge asks is "What?" it is not a good title.
Something short,
"When's Lunch"
"Where's the Chocolate"
"You talkin to me?"

i'm with louise,
"i didn't do it"
or how bout the simple use of a name, if his name is not interesting enough, make one up. and just call it "justin" or "ryan" sometimes we over due the titles and put thoughts in the judges heads. let the judges enjoy this beutiful face and discover the child on thier own.

laura,
finnigan - what are these parents thinking? finnigan would confuse the judges.
if you use a name, i'ld change it. i've done that a nuber of times.
