I have four images that I have already decided to enter into the NHPPA comp but am trying to choose a fifth from one of these. Would love your input and opinions. Thanks!

I vote for the Robert Frost tree. I think I like it flipped, they way it is now. Although I kind of liked the grundgy border you had before. I'm not sure if grundge borders work in comp though.

I like the grungy border too -- think i will put it back.:)

Marilyn Usually I tell people to avoid the image you are emotionally attached to but in this case I think they will all score similarly so pick the one you are the most attached to. Otherwise you will always wonder what if.

Thanks Keith - I am afraid to ask where you think they would score -- never mind, don't tell me! - I am trying to learn how to choose them. I am struggling with this one. I am not really more emotionally attached to one over the other. This is my first competition and I don't have any portraits in yet -- so am considering adding the b/w of the newly divorced woman. You had looked at my images previously and liked the "slice of life" one.

i just placed the order! so it is done.

Which one won out? I was going to vote for the last one, but alas I'm too late.

When I can't make up my mind, I just order them all and then look at the actual prints under judging lighting conditions. If you are sending your files to te lab, already prepped for printing - and taking advantage of the big print special most labs have this time of year, it really isn't that expensive to get an extra print or two.

I just may do that!

I love the tree:)

How does everyone feel about the tree and its current presentation -- I am not sure. Any ideas on how to how to improve?

Hi Marilyn
My two favorites are the image of the woman and the Vermont scene. On the image of the woman I love her expression, however I would place her in the lower right part of the mat as I think its to centered. I think this would give it more impact.
I like everything about the Vermont Scene. Nice work.:D :D :D

The first or the last.
