Submitting Albums

I am considerng submitting a wedding album to competition on the State Level. I am really not sure yet -- but heard that you don't actually have to submit the actual album - that the digital layout is really all you need. Is this true? Does anyone submit the actual album? Also -- have you seen matted albums submitted? If so, how did they fare? Most of our brides want matted albums only so that is what we do. Look forward to hearing back!

As far as I know, you need to submit the actual album. You can submit a digital file to PPANE, but not to our state level.
