View Full Version : My maybe

Either? What can be done? I'm down to the wire here, but I have a lot going on, so I do have a legitimate reason for slacking on my comp images. :) Is Holly around? Any title suggestions?

I keep coming back to this image. I like the vertical presentation better. As for the title, something with the word chord is brewing in my brain. Maybe Holly will come up with one?

I'd go with the vert too...maybe "in a minor mood".....:cool:

Another one of these where it's good that there is more than one judge on the panel. Holly and I both like it better presented on a horizontal board. Subconciously there is room for the rest of the guitar. I asked Holly about a title but she is really sick - waiting on a call with lab results to see if it is influenza or something else. If it is influenza they are gonna treat the whole family. She said she keeps thinking something about talking with her fingers or an alternative form of communication but in her loopy sick mind she just can't quite get it.

AW Get better soon Holly!

How about something like "if you could see what I hear" or something. Geeze, I'm not even sick and I'm loopy

"A Chordial Greeting"

My title idea is "Musical Digits".

I liked the vertical better until reading Keith's post... Then I looked again at them because I agree w/ Keith and Holly about the room for the guitar and as I thought it over I concluded that.... I like the amount of space over her head in the vertical crop, in the horizontal she (to me) feels crammed into the right side of the presentation. So, I think I might like the horizontal better if she had more space around the image, at least over her head.
Also, if it were mine... I would tone down that white spot on the guitar.. Don't know exactly what it is but it seems to draw to much attention to itself.

Good luck!

You are TOO funny...and I like those titles. If nothing else, it should get a laugh from the panel.

I prefer the horizontal version but I would like to see it smaller so there is more room around her.

Thanks for all the feedback. Is this better? But now I feel she is too small.

Or how about something like this?

And hugs to Holly! :) Sorry to hear she isn't feeling well. I've been up to my elbows in the flu from my 4 year old today, so I feel really sorry for her. :(

Hi Tracy;

I would stay with the solid background. The pattern will conflict with the panel's eyes going to the fingers. Also, I would move the subject layer about a half inch or so to the left. Finally, I would tone down the yellowish area.

So how is the next to last one? Do you guys who have judged actually think it's worth entering? I'm okay with it if it's just a cool image for her, but is it comp worthy?
