Keith,
We will be holding the western states regional next week in Gardiner, MT, and the Rocky mountain regional will be the last week in February in Casper, WY.

The northest qualifier will be held the last weekend of April In North Conway, NH.

The Heart of America qualifier happens in June not far from you.

With this many regions this year, the competition should be fierce!!

Keith,
We will be holding the western states regional next week in Gardiner, MT,

Seeing as how I ONLY compete in mixed doubles and the MT event appears to be strictly men, I don't think I will enter at that event.

Seriously I like the image. Title? nothing strikes me as just right yet. The judges don't know the nationality or the actual story behind the image. You need a title that either speaks to the judges or explains the image.

One that keeps coming back to me is "Too busy to notice" Can be read as the people passing by are too busy to notice OR the man in prayer is too busy to notice those around him.

Other options - In Prayer - Gifts for prayers - I need to ask Holly on this one.

I came up with I Will Pray For You For Money but Holly came up with Atonement

Not sure that's her final answer but am also wanting to know what everyone thinks of the crop, placement, coloring....:)

Hi Linda;

Holly did it again. That's an excellent title ... one word and fitting his postrate pose.

I really like the image Linda. Was this taken in a foreign country? Is the guy really praying? or begging?
Anyway, it speaks to me. To me it kind of suggests how easy it is to ignore or pass by those who we perceive to be in an unpleasant situation or beneath us.

"Alone in a Crowd" I actually have an image entitled that, but I haven't entered it in competition.

Yes, this was taken in Prague this past December. It is on a pedestrian bridge built in the 14th century and is frequented by many beggars. They usually hold a hat out for money to be put in and when someone does, they bow lower in thanks and stay where they are. Many bring dogs who melt hearts faster than human plight. To stay so long last spring on the hard stone pavement was unfathomable but this was in very low temps. If you look close, he has one glove on an the hand above to capture money is bare.

I tried last spring to capture something like this but the crowds were too thick. I found one in a different location counting his loot later. It's a hard way to make a living!
