Quick comments, when I should be working. ;)

With the first one, Andrea, I would try flipping the image so your eyes go through the girl and stop at the bride. Then move the image such that the bride's face is in the lower right. See how that looks.

With the silo, I'd move it back where you had it before, but not so far in the corner.

Pull the bride out of the corner so her head is on a rule of thirds intersection. I'd probably make her bigger, too.

I said it before. Wow
#1 Lots of emotion. A bit flat light, Burn in the brides jawline ear and neck from the girls fingertips back and down. Do it gently to avoid shifting orange. Oh and Flip the image maybe.
Call if you have problems.
#2 I love it! The tree and silow is sharp right? I could swear it was but it is so hard to tell on this file. Also slide the image to the right.
#3 I like it but I feel it is the weakest of the 4. Tilt it and crop it slimmer. Do not show the outer edges of either arm. I think this will make her look less like her shoulders are almost square to the camera and the tilt will give more motion to the image. I would suggest a hint of liquify to give her a hint of a smile, not a lot though. Last I would suggest either a lighter or darker back board as I don't feel enought impact from the image as it is.
#4 Awsome Print it darker

Did I make it worse?

What about this one. I cropped her tighter to get rid of the pice of white dress, but maybe I messed it up?

I am not Mr Howe,
but I have met him once. Does that qualify me?

Andrea, I think this image needs a bit of darkroom work to make a great black and white image. I am thinking it needs more depth. I have tried to work on it a touch, but it is so small, it is not looking right. Anyway, here is my attempt. See you soon.

Thanks Keith and Holly for helping to see what you see!

And Thanks to you as well Jeff. Yes, I think some of Keith has rubbed off on you so you are qualified;) Maybe I will enter it in NH and then if I don't do well I will have someone to cry to.:)

Well Jeff, I won't feel too bad about your I hate my case thread. Didn't you have one of those last year, and you did great? Your case that you hate, is one that I would love to submit I am sure:) Since this is my first time entering anything ever, I may do it in NH where at least I have friends for support. So someone get me a beer to drown my sorrows in;)

Well, Andrea, you can't find a more supportive or fun group anywhere than NHPPA. Jackie had her coming out party last year, and I'm sure she'll remember it a good long time. Why not you, this year? Continue under Keith's tutelage, and you'll be giving out pointers before long. Which is my long winded way of saying, you'd better show up with a full case! :D

Okay then Mark, since I only know what a full case means in terms of beer....what makes a full case in print comp...boy am I in over my head or what?:o
