A local charity has just asked if you would be willing to donate an item for their upcoming auction. Without hesitation, you verbally agree to participate not realizing until you arrive home that you have never done this before. The first thing that comes to mind is offering a gift certificate.     Agreed! Great info! I offered a senior session without an expiration date this year to an auction - and the winner called me 5 days before their pictures were due to the school! I really could have used this session during my slow months, not when I'm up against the wall on deadlines... and now theirs too!

    Excellent info. I've donated certificates for years with minimal problems - usually people asking for an extension of the deadline which I usually grant. However, you raise some good points of potential problems that I will address in the remaking of my certificates.
